Budget Grants & Loans FY 17/18

Postby Jo » June 15th, 2017, 11:20 am

Now that the budget for the AIN has been passed. The Calarèann government would like to know when the grants process for infrastructure and economic aid will commerce?

Hi Jo, thanks for raising this up. I totally forgot about this. Thank you for reminding me. Actually, it should be starting now.

So here, I want to make things easier. I don't want to turn AIN into an IMF or World Bank. Abeit I may do so. Governments/nations/orgs who wants economic aid from AIN just needs to send the following (template below) and the AEA will be the one doing all the work. Technically, to make things easier it goes like this.

1. Client submits an application for economic package, development loan or humanitarian aid
2. AEA verifies and evaluates the application (at this point the AEA may asks for more details and clarifications) [3-5 days process or longer depends on how detailed the application is]
3. AEA confirms with other AIN agencies for approval (this is important because financial aids might be taken from other agency budget e.g. infrastructure loan will be provided by the Alliance Infrastructure Agency rather the AEA itself.) [1 week process]
4. AEA provides provisional template for the grant (If its a loan, AEA will provide the tabulation for payments and interest. If it is a non-biding aid or grant, AEA will write down the payout amount and other conditionals if needed like accomplishment report after the project is completed). [2-3 days process]
5. If client approves, the Bank of the Alliance will release the money on scheduled as agreed. If client disapproves, renegotiation is possible, the client states what it wants and the process restarts at #3.

TEMPLATE:
Request to the AEA for a financial (TYPE) for (What is this cash needed for?) (e.g. Request to the AEA for a financial GRANT for Teiko-Okaiken Rail Network or Request to the AEA for a financial GRANT for Education)
1. Client: Full name of the government (e.g. Federal Government of Teiko)
2. Type: Loan (Loans that needs repayment, need only for larges scale economic revitalization e.g. excuse me Greece Debt Crises), Grant (Money that is given without need to be paid) or Humanitarian Aid (Can only be asked for severe situations like calamities and other state of emergencies)
3. Amount: (in USD)
4. Purpose: What will it be used for. This section is pretty much open to the client's wishes. That means clients can write as long as they can. The most important thing is TO PROVIDE JUSTIFICATION AND DETAILS. If the purpose lacks enough justification and details then the AEA might send a list of questions for clarifications. Three important questions that needs to be answered at least are:
4.1 Will the grant provide sufficient funding or there are other sources of funding? If there are, please list them. (For large scale and long term projects, not application to humanitarian aid and economic crises loans)
4.2 What is the nature of this projects/initiatives that needs funding? (e.g. If asking for education grant, please don't just say, its for education. I am assuming you are asking for a grant because there are initiatives the needs to be funded like perhaps free tuition, free books, free food or university redevelopment, please be specific.)
4.3 How will the people (citizens of the client and citizens of AIN) benefit from the project?

Notes:
PROVIDE IMAGES if necessary especially for projects/initiatives that does have images/renderings (AEA loves images)
Each application is limited only to one subject (i.e. if you want a grant on two projects (airport and seaport), please provide two separate applications (It can all be one in post however).

Happy applying!

The Federal Government of Mikenstein will accept the grant of $3 billion, but will not respond on the loan until the sourcing of other investment is complete.
