The Eighth General Election is now over and all that is left for me to do is announce the winners. Thank you to all those who voted and for the participation of those running for ministerial and executive positions. You were all superb role models during this election and I wish everyone the best of luck!

Our first results are for the Ministerial positions. Only one member state failed to vote in this election so each candidate has been approved by roughly 96% of the AIN's current membership, excluding members on leave. It's therefore a privilege to introduce to you the five new Ministers of the Union, all of whom now have specialised responsibilities stretching from roleplay to events and ensuring the union's functions and facilities are run properly and efficiently.

The Seventh Executive Council will serve from midnight tonight until the 1st of September. The duties of the President and Vice President are extensive and of all the members in this union, they have the greatest influence and responsibilities. It's an honour and a privilege to serve on any Executive Council and I'm sure our new government will dedicate itself wholeheartedly to serving the union day in, day out.

The Second Alliance Act Amendment has not passed the Senate yet, so until it does the fourth position on the Executive Council will remain empty. Zack will serve as both President of the Alliance and Permanent Administrator until the bill passes, when we will appoint a temporary administrator. Congratulations to Alec, who joins the Council for the first time and becomes head moderator. We will keep you updated on the future changes to the Council if/when the amendment passes.

All that is left for me to do is congratulate the new Government of the Alliance. I hope that those of you who didn't succeed this time will run again in September, or for other positions that will be opening soon. Thank you to everyone who voted - only one member has failed this checkpoint - and for your efforts to ensure that this election ran smoothly.

Just before we end, I'd like to note also the outgoing President, JJ, and the outgoing Ministers. Without your hard work and tireless efforts, we wouldn't be having elections now and I hope you all feel that you left a positive legacy as you leave your offices now. So thank you all.
